Jacqueline MacInnes Wood Celebrates Steffy Forrester Anniversary on The Bold and the Beautiful

It’s hard to believe it’s been over a decade since Jacqueline MacInnes Wood first appeared as Steffy Forrester on The Bold and the Beautiful. From the very beginning, it felt like fate. As the daughter of Ridge and Taylor and the twin sister of the ill-fated Phoebe, Steffy had big shoes to fill — and Wood slipped into them with confidence and flair.

Wood’s journey with Bold & Beautiful began when she moved from her native Canada to Los Angeles in the spring of 2008. The show was her very first audition in the U.S. “From the start, I loved working on Bold & Beautiful, although I’d never worked at a pace like that in my life!” she told Soaps.com. She recalls how her first week was manageable since she'd had the scripts in advance while her contract was being finalized. But once filming started, it was full throttle. “By the end of that first week, they gave me eight scripts for the following week — and it was non-stop like that for the first three years!”

And she’s not kidding. Wood debuted on June 4, 2008, and quickly became the center of major storylines. Whether it was boardroom battles, love triangles, or family drama, Steffy was always in the thick of it. While the stories were thrilling and the role fulfilling, the intense pace eventually caught up with her. “I was in my 20s, trying to balance so much, and living on five-hour energy drinks. I was running on fumes,” she admitted. “Eventually, I didn’t even look like myself anymore. I was so thin, and my skin was breaking out.”

That wake-up call led Wood to make some serious changes. After visiting a skin doctor who prescribed a quick fix, she realized that masking the symptoms wasn’t the answer. “That’s when I knew I needed to take care of myself — really focus on my health,” she shared. And now, with a husband and kids in her life, she says she has even more motivation to stay strong and healthy.

Over the years, Wood has evolved Steffy from a typical soap vixen into a fierce, independent woman with a strong mind and even stronger heart. Though Steffy still makes questionable romantic decisions — especially during the infamous Liam and Hope triangle — Wood embraces every twist. “Sometimes I wanted to strangle Steffy,” she joked. “She and Liam were so codependent, it was definitely not healthy.”

Yet despite all the drama, Jacqueline has grown deeply connected to the character she’s portrayed for so long. “Steffy is such a huge part of my life,” she said. “I don’t know what I’d do without her.”

Honestly, we don’t know what we’d do without her either! As we celebrate Jacqueline MacInnes Wood’s anniversary as Steffy, take a moment to appreciate all the unforgettable moments she’s given us. From heartbreak to triumph, she’s made Steffy Forrester a true icon of daytime television.
